Steady As She Goes

Standard

Will was on his morning run
Going past the fields
The Sun not yet far from the horizon
Casting a long shadow in front of him.

His mind was on Patty
A girl he had known for a short time
In the biological sense of the word
And still talked to on occasion

Will missed being around Patty
It didn’t help that there was Anya
Someone he made promises to
Both women a fair distance from him

He knew that one day he’d have to choose
That day was bearing down on him
It had to be one or the other
Will sighed and picked up his pace
