Journal: The Past Is Another Land

Standard

I would see you only on the rare occasion
Now the last has been well over a year.
When you would come around my heart would race
As though you filled me with thrilling fear

In my dream you were married.
For some reason that bothered me.
I couldn’t believe you forgot us that quickly
So your new wife I wanted to see.

I searched high and low
But no trace of her I found.
Then I searched for you too
But you were nowhere around

You have removed yourself from existence
I don’t even know what you look like anymore.
It very well is better for this to be the case
Because I have found one who doesn’t me ignore.
